This interdisciplinary program integrates tourism, event management, social sciences, business, and marketing to equip graduates for careers in tourism, events, and the visitor economy. Students can select from various specializations such as environmental management, event and festival coordination, heritage studies, marketing strategies, urban place management, planning, sports management, and sustainability practices.
Developed in collaboration with industry leaders, the curriculum ensures students acquire employer-sought skills. The program features hands-on fieldwork, direct engagement with industry and government partners, and international study opportunities. A capstone professional placement in the final year offers valuable industry exposure and facilitates career transition.
The Bachelor of Tourism and Event Management is delivered by faculty with extensive sector experience and international recognition for their teaching excellence and research contributions. Our educators adopt a learner-focused approach, dedicated to helping students realize their professional aspirations.
This degree program was collaboratively designed with both Australian and global partners, including Destination NSW, the Australian Federation of Travel Agents, Accommodation Association, City of Parramatta, Powerhouse Museum, Greater Sydney Commission, and National Rugby League. Industry and government partners frequently participate in classes through guest lectures and interactive discussions.
Students must have Successful completion of Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.

IELTS: 6.5 overall score (min 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL internet-based score of 82: Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50.
