Information Systems are increasingly essential to contemporary society and serve as a key driver behind much of the global economic and social transformation. Today, professionals implementing technology must grasp the context in which computer technology can be most effectively chosen, utilized, and deployed. The Business Analytics major equips students with comprehensive expertise in producing and conveying information and insights from the expanding and varied sources of big data for business decision-making, a vital resource for any organization. Beginning with a framework for employing data analysis tools in business analytics, this major cultivates a combination of skills from mathematics, statistics, data science, and computing. Students will gain knowledge and comprehension in the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence and big data applications.
Successful completion of Year 12 with an ATAR of 60, successful completion of a recognised foundation studies program, 1 year of university studies or completion of a qualification equivalent to an Australian AQF Certificate IV.
International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum score of 24.
