The Creative Writing program empowers students to craft original works while honing their editing and publishing skills. They learn directly from published authors, industry editors, and publishing professionals affiliated with the Writing and Society Research Centre, alongside faculty from the School of Humanities and Communication Arts.
Students also explore modern literary and linguistic studies, covering critical theory, textual analysis, genre studies, and diverse literary traditions spanning classic to contemporary works. Graduates pursue careers in publishing, education, professional writing, editorial roles, and marketing communications.

Successful completion of Global Assessment Certificate with a GPA of 2.3.
Successful completion of Year 12 with an ATAR of 60, successful completion of a recognised foundation studies program, 1 year of university studies or completion of a qualification equivalent to an Australian AQF Certificate IV.
2 years full-time study at a recognised postsecondary institution where the language of instruction is English.
