Our Design and Technology program provides a solid foundation in design principles, blending theoretical understanding with hands-on application. This course opens doors to diverse career paths such as product development, packaging design, rapid prototyping, 3D visualization, exhibition creation, and secondary education (with further qualifications). Students acquire broad design expertise while having opportunities to focus on specific interests.
Practical training combines cutting-edge campus facilities with valuable connections to professional industry partners, helping students build important career networks.
In your final year or post-study, you'll complete a 10-week industry placement, offering invaluable hands-on experience in product development within real workplace settings. Graduates also qualify for Design Institute of Australia (DIA) membership.
Alternative Admission Pathways
If you didn't achieve the necessary ATAR score or qualify for HSC True Reward early entry, you may apply through an interview process that evaluates personal aptitude, relevant experience, and educational background, supplemented by a portfolio of creative work.
Students must have Successful completion of Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall score (min 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL internet-based score of 82: Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50.
