Western's Criminology Bachelor's program examines crime and justice systems through both theoretical and practical lenses, exploring their societal impacts. It provides essential training for careers in law enforcement, rehabilitation services, and judicial systems.
Coursework covers policing and monitoring, violent offenses, gender-related crimes, restorative and global justice systems, crime in media, and current criminological discussions. Optional minors include Community Youth Studies, Psychology, or Social Sciences. Graduates will possess the specialized expertise to create positive change and contribute meaningfully to society.
Students must have Successful completion of Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall score (min 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL internet-based score of 82: Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50.
