This program caters to exceptional law students enrolled in the combined Bachelor of Criminal and Community Justice and Bachelor of Laws program who seek to engage in advanced legal studies and research. The Bachelor of Criminal and Community Justice degree serves both current Corrective Services professionals and aspiring students aiming for careers in corrections, probation, or parole. Drawing from diverse fields including Criminal Justice, Criminology, Psychology, Social Work, and Welfare, the degree establishes a theoretical foundation for professionals working with offenders on rehabilitation, through-care, and reintegration matters.
Beyond theoretical knowledge, the program equips graduates with practical skills to assess and improve offender management practices. The Bachelor of Criminal and Community Justice functions as an 'applied degree pathway,' emphasizing the connection between academic concepts and real-world applications. Please note that degree completion does not automatically lead to employment within Corrections Services.
