The Bachelor of Criminal and Community Justice program caters to both current correctional services professionals and individuals seeking careers in corrections, probation, or parole (Community Corrections). Developed in partnership with Brush Farm, the training division of Corrective Services NSW, this degree combines knowledge from Criminal Justice, Criminology, Psychology, Social Work, and Welfare studies to establish a theoretical foundation for working with offenders.
This specialized program addresses key themes essential for professionals dealing with both victims and offenders, focusing on treatment approaches and management strategies. Beyond theoretical knowledge, the curriculum provides practical skills to assess and improve professional practices when working with these populations.
As an applied degree, the Bachelor of Criminal and Community Justice emphasizes connecting academic concepts with real-world applications. Please note that program completion does not automatically lead to employment within Corrective Services or similar organizations.
