This major explores the geographical aspects of modern Australian urban and regional areas. Geography offers a comprehensive approach to understanding the relationships between populations, locations, and natural surroundings.

Modern Geographers investigate pressing topics like post-colonial influences, the rise of worldwide digital economies, native concerns, socioeconomic and cultural inequalities, migration patterns, gender-space dynamics, and how mainstream culture spreads globally. Urban Studies, as a more recent field, emphasizes equitable access to city resources through analyzing availability of housing, transportation, schooling, and jobs.

The Urban Studies program primarily examines how political systems, financial factors, and societal norms influence metropolitan development and governance strategies.
