Current geographical research delves into post-colonial perspectives, the rise of worldwide digital economies, indigenous matters, socioeconomic and cultural inequalities, migration patterns, gender-space dynamics, and how mainstream culture spreads globally.
Urban Studies, a more recent field, emphasizes equitable access to city resources through analyzing availability of housing, transportation, schooling, and jobs.
