The Musicology program offers non-Music students a foundation in Western classical music history, along with twentieth and twenty-first century popular and classical genres.
This major explores modernist, postmodernist, and post-postmodernist viewpoints while integrating social, political, and philosophical analyses of musical works.
Students must choose between pursuing Musicology or Music, as both cannot be taken simultaneously.

Successful completion of Year 12 with an ATAR of 60, successful completion of a recognised foundation studies program, 1 year of university studies or completion of a qualification equivalent to an Australian AQF Certificate IV.
2 years full-time study at a recognised postsecondary institution where the language of instruction is English.
