This major explores the geographical aspects of modern Australian urban and regional areas. Geography offers a comprehensive approach to understanding the relationships between populations, locations, and natural surroundings.
Contemporary Geography research delves into post-colonial theory, the rise of worldwide digital economies, native affairs, socioeconomic and cultural inequalities, migration patterns, gender and spatial dynamics, and the worldwide spread of mainstream culture.
Urban Studies represents a more recent academic field concentrating on equitable resource distribution in metropolitan areas, critically evaluating public access to limited city services including accommodation, transit systems, schooling, and work opportunities.
