At Victoria University, your Master of Research journey will be customized based on your educational background. You'll develop essential expertise in research ethics and project planning before advancing to specialized research methodologies or discipline-specific components. Upon maintaining a 70% average in coursework, you'll embark on original research in your chosen area of interest.
Program objectives
VU's innovative Master of Research enables students to conduct and finalize a supervised research project at master's level (AQF 9). The curriculum begins with coursework units focusing on: a) research process fundamentals and expectations, and b) relevant disciplinary specialization when applicable. (Note: Students entering with varying qualifications may qualify for Advanced Standing in certain units. For instance, candidates with an AQF Level 7 degree in their research field may receive credit for one disciplinary studies unit.) The research journey includes structured milestones to ensure continuous support and timely, high-quality project completion.
