As one of Australia's select institutions, we provide a Bachelor of Education (P-12) degree that qualifies graduates to teach across all school levels. This program is ideal if you're uncertain about which age group you'd prefer to teach, offering valuable flexibility in your career path.
Our curriculum equips you with contemporary teaching methodologies to enhance student learning. The program includes substantial practical experience, with 80 days of supervised teaching placements in both primary and secondary school settings.
Upon graduating from this program, students will demonstrate the ability to:
Apply comprehensive knowledge of teaching methods, curriculum design, and assessment strategies grounded in educational theory and research, adapting to the dynamic global education landscape,
Evaluate educational policies and contemporary issues to enhance teaching practices in diverse classroom environments while strengthening school-community relationships,
Design inclusive learning programs that embody principles of social justice through awareness, equity, and accessibility, addressing students' varied physical, social, cultural, and intellectual needs,
Develop students' creative abilities, critical thinking, and communication skills (including digital literacy) to prepare them for solving complex challenges in our modern world while fostering connections between students, families, and communities,
Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent) including Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English (or equivalent) other than EAL. PLUS:
Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or Units 3 and 4: any Mathematics. PLUS:
IELTS (or equivalent): Overall score or 7.0 (with no band less than 7.5 in Speaking and Listening, and 6.5 in Reading and Writing).
