The Doctor of Creative Arts (DCA) program is designed for experienced creative professionals seeking to expand their artistic practice through academic research.

This rigorous program combines creative production with scholarly analysis, requiring students to develop a major creative project accompanied by a 30,000-word explanatory document. The creative work and written analysis are closely connected. The program supports research across various creative fields including Music, Theater, Performance, Creative Writing, Visual Arts, Digital Media, and Design. We welcome applications from these disciplines and encourage interdisciplinary projects.

As a practice-focused degree, the DCA enables students to make meaningful contributions to both their artistic field and the broader research context.

Students participate in specialized lectures and workshops on creative research methodologies and related subjects. DCA candidates are also expected to actively engage with and enhance the university's research community.
