The Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) program is designed for graduates holding an undergraduate IT degree or equivalent qualification who want to pursue a research project during an additional Honours year.
Highly valued by employers, this qualification serves as an outstanding foundation for doctoral studies. The program includes 30 credit points of advanced 400-level coursework alongside an 18-credit research component. The coursework delivers graduate-level IT knowledge comparable to a Master's program.
Through the research project, students learn to: formulate a feasible research question; develop suitable research methods; implement these methods to collect and analyze data; and present their findings in a complete thesis or research report.
