Architectural engineering connects architecture and engineering disciplines. For those passionate about engineering and eco-friendly design, this program enhances your ability to create integrated designs while motivating you to develop structures that are practical, energy-efficient, aesthetically pleasing, inspiring, and environmentally responsible. The curriculum begins with a shared first year, giving you exposure to various engineering disciplines. This foundational year establishes core knowledge in mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, computing, engineering principles, communication, mechanics, materials science, and fluid dynamics.
Starting in your second year, you'll specialize in architectural engineering, focusing on net-zero energy structures and environmentally conscious buildings incorporating renewable energy solutions. Coursework covers integrated design approaches, construction methods, architectural engineering history and theory, project management, as well as environmental and cultural considerations.
