The Bachelor of Business Information Systems Honours program is designed for graduates holding an undergraduate degree in Information Systems or a related field, offering them the opportunity to pursue a research-focused additional Honours year.
This program blends 30 credit points of advanced 400-level coursework with an 18-credit research component. The coursework delivers a comprehensive foundation in Information Systems, comparable to master's-level studies. Through the research project, students learn to define a feasible research question, develop appropriate methodologies, collect and analyze data to meet project goals, and present their findings in a detailed thesis or report. Valued by employers, this qualification also serves as a strong foundation for doctoral studies.
Participants gain thorough knowledge of research methodologies and their application to meaningful, focused projects. The curriculum includes specialized coursework primarily focused on Information Systems and IT management, building substantially upon the competencies acquired during undergraduate studies.
