Finance encompasses making choices about monetary resources, financial instruments, and tangible assets. Businesses, individuals, banking institutions, and government entities all require financial expertise for investing, saving, obtaining loans, and extending credit. These competencies are essential for evaluating stocks, making business investment decisions, and supporting eco-friendly initiatives that address environmental challenges.
The initial year of the Bachelor of Business (Finance) program establishes fundamental business knowledge across all key areas, while the second year marks the start of specialized finance studies. This specialization focuses on practical financial management, incorporating professional software and market simulations to mirror actual financial environments.
Your studies will culminate in a capstone project during your final year, allowing you to integrate your acquired knowledge while working alongside peers from different fields. Additionally, you can opt for an internship opportunity to earn academic credit while gaining hands-on professional experience.
Upon earning your Bachelor of Business (Finance), you can pursue a master's degree with the potential to receive advanced standing for up to four courses, potentially completing your graduate studies in just one year. This pathway enables you to obtain both undergraduate and graduate degrees within a four-year timeframe.
The finance specialization holds accreditation from the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.
Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia.
In order to succeed in your chosen course, it is assumed you have completed relevant subjects in your senior high school studies or other relevant qualifications. This is particularly important for degrees which have a strong basis in Mathematics or Science.
