Through photography, you'll embark on a journey of visual storytelling and analytical observation - where a single image can speak volumes.
At UOW, our photography program immerses students in both traditional and digital techniques across various studio disciplines, while exploring photography's rich heritage and its role in modern visual arts. You'll cultivate your unique artistic voice by mastering creative methodologies, conceptual development, and practical application.
The curriculum encompasses comprehensive training in analog and digital methods, covering specialized areas such as digital imaging with Photoshop, traditional darkroom techniques, studio lighting for portraits and still lifes, on-location photography, photo sequencing, and innovative applications incorporating new media technologies like sound and video elements.
