This 18-month program offers the option of completing either a dissertation or practicum. It equips graduates with comprehensive knowledge and a versatile qualification for pursuing careers in Public Health. The Master of Public Health program welcomes graduates from all academic backgrounds who aspire to work as professional public health practitioners or researchers in the healthcare sector.
Students will develop solid expertise in key areas including epidemiology, biostatistics, qualitative research methodologies, health economics, and health promotion, along with understanding the wider social framework in which health initiatives are designed, implemented, and assessed.

To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have
ai a bachelors degree or an equivalent qualification as recognised by UWA or
ii a Graduate Certificate in Population Health Studies 91230 Graduate Certificate in Environmental Health 92210 Graduate Certificate in Communicable Diseases Epidemiology 91220 or an equivalent qualification as recognised by UWA
and
b the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 60 per cent
2 Applicants who have or have had a progress status of Suspended or Excluded against courses 92550 or 92560 are not eligible for admission
Minimum overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 must include Academic Reading and Writing modules
TOEFL - Internet-based Test iBT An overall score of 82 with a minimum score of 22 in the Writing section 18 in the Reading section 20 in the Speaking section and 20 in the Listening section for all courses.
TOEFL - Essay Rating Test of Written English TWE of 45 and either 230 Computer-based or 570 Paper-based score.
