This program encourages cross-disciplinary dialogue and teamwork, catering to healthcare practitioners looking to enhance their expertise in health education. Participants may also focus on a specific research area within health professional education. Note that international students can only begin this program in February (Semester 1) due to its structure.
Health Professions Education promotes interdisciplinary exchange and cooperation, tailored for healthcare professionals aiming to advance their capabilities in health education. Essential subjects in health professional education are explored, with multiple course selections offered by both the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and the Faculty of Education. To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have
a a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or an equivalent qualification as recognised by UWA
or
bi a bachelors degree in a health biomedical or biological sciencesrelated discipline or an equivalent qualification and
ii at least one year of relevant professional experience
or
ci completed the Graduate Certificate in Health Professions Education or Graduate Diploma in Health Professions Education at UWA and
ii the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 65 per cent in all core units
This course has higher ELC requirements Applicants presenting with the IELTS Academic require an overall score of at least 7.0 and no band less than 6.5
