The Korean Studies program integrates language acquisition with comprehensive examination of Korea-focused topics across multiple academic fields. Master Korean speaking and writing skills while investigating Korean social structures, political systems, and cultural traditions, gaining insights into both Koreas' global significance. This interdisciplinary field involves scholarly research and critical evaluation of the Korean peninsula's and its diaspora's cultural expressions, social dynamics, philosophical perspectives, and linguistic characteristics. The curriculum features intensive Korean language instruction alongside social science components that allow learners to explore personally engaging subjects, ranging from artistic works and contemporary culture to governmental systems and historical developments. Students may opt to complete a portion of their studies at affiliated Korean universities.
