Fine Arts involves the imaginative investigation of ideas and conceptual development within the artistic creative process. This studio-focused major equips students for professional success as modern artists. Through collaboration with our faculty of renowned practicing artists and specialists from connected creative disciplines like curation, art theory, and art history, students engage with diverse artistic methods, approaches, and technologies to build their professional practice in contemporary art and cultural spheres.
The Fine Arts major's curriculum and structure are unparalleled in Australia. After completing a foundational first year that builds essential technical abilities alongside theoretical understanding, students choose between three specialized tracks: film, art and biotechnologies, or art and environment.
