Perception involves how our brain processes sensory input and transforms it into meaningful understanding. At UWA, we examine how people identify, focus on, and interpret environmental stimuli, investigating the cognitive mechanisms behind these capabilities.

Our research explores perceptual systems across various visual stimuli, from static images to moving objects, including facial recognition. We also investigate perceptual variations among different populations, such as individuals with autism, migraine conditions, or eating disorders.
