The honors seminars aim to advance your comprehension of key themes and influential thinkers from your undergraduate studies. Additionally, you'll engage with groundbreaking contemporary philosophical work—an area typically only briefly touched upon at the undergraduate level.
Learning Outcomes: Graduates will be equipped to (1) refine transferable intellectual abilities including argument analysis, critical evaluation, and the articulation of reasoning; (2) gain a nuanced perspective on fundamental questions within metaphysics, philosophy of mind, metaethics, social/political philosophy, analytic philosophy, and philosophical history; (3) cultivate professional presentation and public speaking techniques; (4) hone advanced academic writing proficiency; and (5) master essential research methodologies to prepare for postgraduate research or scholarly careers beyond academia.
