Archaeologists educated in Australia play a vital role in studying, recording, and preserving archaeological heritage both domestically and internationally. The growing need for archaeological expertise in development-related projects has led to increased demand for skilled graduates. An Honors degree in Archaeology serves as the foundational requirement for professional practice in this discipline. The UWA Archaeology Honors program comprises two key elements: weekly seminars and expert consultations covering advanced theory, funding applications, career preparation, and current archaeological debates, alongside an independent research project where students pursue a chosen topic under supervision. Participants join an active postgraduate network, benefiting from regular departmental seminars, hands-on laboratory and fieldwork experiences, and opportunities to engage with top archaeologists from Australia and beyond.
