This professionally accredited course opens the door to careers in creative advertising and strategic public relations for corporate, government, not- for-profit organisations and communities. The degree is taught by practitioners and leading researchers in the field, who will help you build the skills needed to enter a dynamic and diverse global communication industry.
You’ll start your studies with a range of core communication units, which will help you build an important foundational understanding of the wider discipline. You’ll research, design and produce integrated multiplatform campaigns for internal and external audiences.
You’ll also gain an understanding of the practical, theoretical and ethical foundations of, and emerging trends in, a rapidly changing communication field. This course will equip you to excel as an agile, creative and collaborative strategic communication professional.
Broaden your horizons through elective communication units such as Aboriginal Sydney now, intercultural communication, digital media, streaming television and much more. You can also opt to pursue a second communication stream from the five on offer, enhancing your expertise.
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level.
The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64 with a writing score of 50; or C1A/C2P: 176-184 with a writing score of 169.
