Accounting extends far beyond just working with numbers. The Master of Professional Accounting is ideal whether you're starting fresh in the field or seeking to enhance your existing expertise. The program offers practical learning through internship placements, including participation in the Tax Clinic (Hobart campus option), with guidance from seasoned professionals. An accounting career encompasses providing specialized consultation to assist organizations in strategic decision-making. Potential paths include advising emerging companies on financial matters or specializing as an environmental accountant, developing eco-conscious business strategies.
To be eligible for an offer, applicants must have: A completed undergraduate or postgraduate course in any discipline at Bachelor level (AQF level 7) or higher (or equivalent). Students having a prior qualification in accounting will be considered for recognition of prior learning (up to 4 units).
In addition to the requirements for international applicants must also provide one of the following:
UTAS English for Academic Purposes - EAP2 - 60% (no individual score less than 60%).
Cambridge CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) - B Grade
Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English), Cambridge BEC (Business English Certificate) Higher - C Grade
