The Master of Healthcare Redesign is tailored for healthcare practitioners and leaders dedicated to enhancing patient care and transforming health service delivery. This program provides participants with both theoretical foundations and hands-on competencies to implement evidence-based improvements in their healthcare settings. Offered as a flexible 3-year online curriculum with optional intensive sessions, it accommodates the demanding schedules of healthcare professionals by allowing them to: strengthen practical abilities while expanding research proficiency cultivate specialized knowledge in designing, executing, and assessing evidence-driven healthcare enhancements refine critical thinking and analytical capabilities to identify systemic inefficiencies and service delivery challenges enact transformative solutions that yield sustainable improvements in healthcare quality and operations benefit from guidance by experienced clinicians and scholars with cutting-edge, practical knowledge The initial two years blend academic principles with applied learning, preparing students to initiate workplace enhancement projects. Participants can tackle prevalent healthcare system challenges across all care levels, including lengthy wait times, care coordination gaps, service accessibility barriers, and discharge process inefficiencies. During the final year, students choose between three specialization tracks: academic research, advanced coursework, or professional leadership development. This structure empowers learners to pursue subjects aligned with their professional aspirations and organizational needs.
Admission to most postgraduate coursework courses at the University of Tasmania require qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree.
Course Specific Requirements: Completed undergraduate degree at AQF7 level from an Australian higher education provider in a health or human welfare studies and services field, or equivalent overseas qualification, OR Completed undergraduate degree at AQF7 level from an Australian higher education provider in any discipline (or equivalent overseas qualification) AND at least five years relevant professional and/or industry experience in a health or human welfare studies and services field.
IELTS (Academic) - 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0)
TOEFL (iBT) 72 (no skill below: Reading 16; Listening 16; Speaking 18; Writing 22)
PTE Academic 50 with no score lower than 50
UTAS Access-English Level 7 - 60% (no individual score less than 60%)
