This full-time one-year program, or part-time over two years (maximum), is offered in Hobart and potentially Launceston depending on supervisor availability. The program delivers: specialized training building on the student's undergraduate studies, research skill development to prepare for advanced degrees (MSc/PhD) or research careers, and deep expertise in a specific scientific field. Honours graduates gain strong professional advantages in their chosen disciplines. BSc(Hons) graduates qualify for membership in various professional associations. Students will undertake independent research culminating in a thesis. Additional requirements may include advanced coursework, literature reviews, essays, grant proposal writing, and seminar presentations. Each specialization has mandatory core units for the research component, with some offering optional coursework electives.
