This full-time one-year program, or part-time over two years (maximum duration), is offered in Hobart and potentially Launceston depending on supervisor availability. The program delivers: specialized training in the student's undergraduate field, research skill development to prepare for advanced studies (such as MSc or PhD) or research careers, and concentrated expertise in a specific scientific discipline. Honors graduates gain strong professional advantages in their chosen fields. BSc(Hons) graduates qualify for membership in various professional associations. Students will undertake research and produce a thesis, and may also need to complete advanced coursework units, literature reviews, essays, grant proposals, and seminar presentations. Each specialization includes mandatory core units for the research component, with some offering optional coursework electives.
