This intensive one-year full-time or two-year part-time (maximum duration) program is offered in Hobart and potentially in Launceston, depending on supervisory availability. The curriculum is designed to deliver: specialized training building upon the student's undergraduate studies, research methodology preparation to equip students for advanced degrees (such as MSc and PhD) and research-oriented careers, along with concentrated expertise in a specific scientific discipline. Honors graduates gain significant advantages in professional fields related to their specialization. BSc(Hons) graduates qualify for membership in various professional associations. Students will undertake independent research culminating in a thesis, and may also complete advanced coursework units, literature reviews, academic papers, funding proposals, and seminar presentations as required. Each specialization includes mandatory core units for the research component, with some offering optional coursework electives.
