The Bachelor of Arts with Honours program enables graduates of the Bachelor of Arts to undertake an additional year of specialized study, deepening their expertise in a particular field. This advanced preparation supports entry into professional roles or progression to Master's or Doctoral studies. Graduates will acquire sophisticated understanding of fundamental theories and concepts within Humanities or Social Sciences, along with proficiency in research methodologies. This full-time one-year program (or part-time over two consecutive years, subject to School approval) is offered in Hobart and Launceston. Through the Bachelor of Arts with Honours, you will develop the ability to: Exhibit comprehensive and advanced comprehension of core principles in humanities and/or social sciences, alongside research techniques; Critically analyze, synthesize, and reflect on social, cultural, political, ethical, and/or environmental issues across local, cross-cultural, and global contexts, appreciating diverse viewpoints and advanced theoretical frameworks; Communicate disciplinary insights and information ethically and effectively to both specialized and general audiences through written, oral, and visual methods; Apply knowledge, skills, and sound judgment in planning, problem-solving, and decision-making for professional practice and/or academic pursuits; Conduct independent scholarly work through projects or research in humanities and/or social sciences; Cultivate self-management, creativity, adaptability, initiative, and resilience to meet varied workplace challenges.
