The Bachelor of Arts with Honours program offers students who have completed their Bachelor of Arts degree an additional year of specialized study to deepen their expertise in a chosen field. This serves as enhanced preparation for professional careers or as a stepping stone toward pursuing a Master's or Doctoral degree. Graduates will gain in-depth understanding of core principles and concepts within Humanities or Social Sciences disciplines, along with research methodologies. This intensive one-year full-time program (or two-year part-time option, subject to School approval) is offered in both Hobart and Launceston. Through the Bachelor of Arts with Honours, you will develop the ability to: Exhibit comprehensive mastery of fundamental theories and concepts in humanities and/or social sciences, including research methodologies; Analyze, critically assess, integrate, and contemplate on diverse social, cultural, political, ethical, and environmental issues across local and global contexts while appreciating multiple viewpoints; Effectively and ethically convey disciplinary insights to both specialized and general audiences through various communication methods; Apply knowledge, skills, and sound judgment in professional practice and academic work through problem-solving and decision-making; Conduct independent research projects within humanities and/or social science disciplines; Cultivate essential workplace skills including self-direction, innovation, adaptability, and resilience.
