The Bachelor of Arts with Honours program provides graduates of the Bachelor of Arts degree an opportunity to deepen their expertise through an additional year of focused study. This intensive program prepares students for professional careers or advanced academic pursuits like Master's or Doctoral degrees. Honours graduates will gain specialized knowledge in Humanities or Social Sciences disciplines, along with comprehensive understanding of research methodologies. Offered as a one-year full-time program (or two-year part-time option at the School's discretion) at both Hobart and Launceston campuses, this degree equips students to: Master advanced theoretical concepts and research methods within humanities and social sciences; Critically analyze and synthesize complex social, cultural, political, ethical, and environmental issues from diverse perspectives; Effectively communicate specialized knowledge to various audiences through multiple formats; Develop professional skills in planning, problem-solving, and decision-making; Conduct independent research projects within humanities/social science fields; Cultivate essential workplace competencies including creativity, adaptability, and resilience.
