Pursuing a double degree enables you to expand your understanding across two distinct academic disciplines. You can explore our wide selection of engaging, varied programs and begin an educational path tailored to your individuality. The Bachelor of Arts stands as the most adaptable undergraduate program available. Featuring more than twenty specialized majors, you can combine core subjects to broaden your expertise while selecting electives to refine additional competencies. Our learners are driven by life's profound inquiries, relish the freedom of intellectual exploration, and pursue wisdom and motivation throughout their lives. As part of the University of Tasmania community, you'll join scholars passionately committed to their teaching and research disciplines. Legal education fosters awareness of social equity and applying jurisprudence to benefit both society and the environment. It cultivates sophisticated legal methodologies alongside an awareness of how these tools can serve diverse objectives. By examining law through both domestic and international lenses - recognizing similarities across legal frameworks while appreciating how context influences legislation and judicial traditions - you'll unlock opportunities for legal careers across Australia and worldwide.

This distinctive program is acclaimed as Australasia's most innovative (and premier distance-learning) classical languages curriculum. Our beginner courses start with Latin, accommodating students without prior language experience. These foundational units emphasize grammatical fundamentals that enhance overall linguistic comprehension, using carefully modified texts to provide immediate engagement with classical ideas. Intermediate levels further grammatical proficiency while progressively introducing authentic source materials. Advanced studies involve reading original ancient texts while offering intensive Ancient Greek instruction. The Ancient Languages Major closely aligns with Ancient Civilizations studies and complements various Humanities, Social Science, and Legal Studies programs. Mastering Ancient Greek and Latin while exploring their literary heritage represents one of academia's most rewarding challenges, with employers valuing the critical thinking and imaginative capacities developed through this rigorous training.
