The International Policy specialization explores policymaking and governance where national governments interact with international, transnational, and global spheres. The curriculum analyzes how intergovernmental organizations, NGOs, multinational corporations, and international agreements influence policy outcomes.
Key policy domains and challenges are investigated, including environmental issues, global economics, international security, and population movements. This specialization enables Public Policy graduate students to comprehend how policy priorities transfer across borders and receive international responses. It also investigates why certain complex global issues persist without resolution.
The Master of Public Policy is an advanced degree program that enhances expertise in policy formulation and execution, while examining constraints and opportunities arising from political, social, economic, cultural, and technological contexts.
Required coursework includes foundational studies in migration, corruption, crisis response, governance, and environmental policy, culminating in either a research project or thesis. Students supplement these core requirements with elective courses to fulfill degree specifications.
