This specialization allows students to master fundamental international legal principles while pursuing focused studies in various public and private international law domains. The Sydney Centre for International Law (SCIL), a premier research and educational hub in the Asia-Pacific, informs our curriculum. SCIL facilitates public discourse on global legal matters, provides counsel to governmental and non-governmental entities, and has recently implemented development initiatives in Nepal, Iraq, and the Philippines. The Centre organizes complimentary seminars addressing pioneering international legal developments. Coursework encompasses international law applications concerning: commerce, dispute resolution, environmental protection, fundamental freedoms, military intervention, displaced populations, citizenship regulations, fiscal agreements, global taxation systems, and specialized courses on Chinese, Japanese, and Indonesian legal frameworks.
