This program caters to both emerging and established communication specialists, health advocates, PR professionals, media specialists, and medical practitioners.
Core coursework focuses on mastering health communication through diverse platforms and technologies. The program culminates with a capstone experience, offering options of a professional project, internship, or research thesis.
Admission to candidature for the Master of Health Communication requires:
a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney with a minimum credit (65%) average calculated over the whole degree, including a major in a relevant subject area in the humanities, social sciences or public health, or an equivalent qualification; or
completion of the requirements for the embedded Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Health Communication with a minimum credit (65%) average, or an equivalent qualification.
IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English: A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
