The Graduate Diploma in Public Health emphasizes disease prevention and health enhancement. Students will gain skills to inform communities and shape a healthier tomorrow through effective initiatives and approaches.
No prior health or medical experience is required to pursue public health studies at the University of Sydney. This program welcomes learners from varied medical, non-medical, academic, and professional fields.
Most foundational courses are scheduled for Semester 1, with all core subjects available both in-person and online.
These essential courses deliver fundamental health competencies in areas including Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, Qualitative Health Research, Health Promotion, and Public Health Ethics.
For elective components, students must complete at least 6 credit points of PUBH electives and may take up to 6 credit points of non-PUBH electives.
