The History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) program offers an opportunity to expand and enhance your understanding of science's role in today's world. Through HPS, you'll step back from the narrow focus of other disciplines to examine science's broader context - its evolution, current societal position, and the social, cultural, and ethical implications of scientific progress.

For students outside the Faculty of Science, HPS provides insights into science's fundamental nature, historical growth, and contemporary significance. It also introduces you to key political and ethical debates surrounding modern scientific practice.
The combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Nutrition and Dietetics degree delivers comprehensive training in nutritional sciences, preparing you for professional dietetics careers. Your studies will include core requirements, junior electives, a specialized Nutrition and Dietetics curriculum with a Nutrition Science major, plus a minor or second major from available disciplinary options. Additional electives ensure you meet the program's credit requirements.

Upon successfully completing the Bachelor of Science (with at least a credit average), you'll advance to the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics, undertaking core coursework, practical training placements, and a research project.
