Ecology and evolution are fundamental principles that form the foundation of many biological disciplines. Ecology examines the mechanisms driving interactions among living organisms and the functioning of entire ecosystems. Evolutionary theory serves as a unifying framework that helps us understand natural phenomena, from genetic variations to the emergence of diverse life forms over millennia.
These interconnected disciplines of Ecology and Evolution have significant applications in addressing contemporary issues, particularly in species preservation efforts.
Through this program, you'll explore evolutionary and ecological mechanisms and their impact on population changes across various species. These insights are crucial for developing effective strategies to protect biological diversity and maintain healthy ecosystems.
