Nutrition Science is an interdisciplinary field examining how food and nutrients impact health and disease throughout life. The program begins with foundational biology and biochemistry before delving into human nutrition. Students examine nutrient effects on health from molecular to systemic levels, learning about nutrient sensing, digestion, metabolism, and storage. The curriculum develops laboratory and research competencies, including big data analysis, preparing graduates for careers as nutrition scientists, research roles, or (with additional requirements) entry into the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics program.
The Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Laws is a dual undergraduate degree offering a route to legal practice.
This program builds core scientific knowledge before allowing specialization, while developing analytical abilities to evaluate evidence, construct legal arguments, and solve complex problems.
Students complete science core units and electives alongside law fundamentals, plus Open Learning Environment components and additional electives to fulfill degree requirements.
After completing the Bachelor of Science component, students advance to the Bachelor of Laws, undertaking senior core units and specialized electives from Sydney Law School in a structured sequence.
The law curriculum includes mandatory jurisprudence studies, with final-year options for advanced coursework and an honors thesis.
