The study of Genetics and Genomics equips you with insights applicable to advancing our comprehension of evolutionary processes (both historical and contemporary) as well as diverse facets of organismal biology.

These insights can further be utilized in creating innovative biotechnological solutions, enhancing human and animal health, forensic applications, preserving and managing wildlife, diagnosing and combating pests and pathogens, improving agricultural sustainability for human needs, and deepening our grasp of biological systems.

Genetics explores the mechanisms of heredity and biological diversity. Its core concepts span across genomics, molecular genetics, classical Mendelian inheritance, epigenetic regulation, chromosome studies, population genetics, and statistical genetic analysis.

Genomics represents a modern scientific field emerging from geneticists' ability to produce massive datasets through advanced DNA/RNA sequencing and proteomic techniques, coupled with the necessity to interpret biological regulation through computational analysis of these extensive genomic datasets.
