This intensive program allows you to apply theoretical knowledge through practical research, making it valuable both in academic circles and professional industries seeking specialized skills. Enhance your undergraduate specialization with a dedicated Honours year, open to graduates in this field. You can pursue Honours in diverse disciplines including anatomy, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, pharmacology, and more, with options available at the Westmead campus. The Faculty of Science is renowned for its exceptional postgraduate research opportunities, supported by substantial funding and state-of-the-art facilities. Tailored research programs cater to different academic levels, from master's to doctoral studies, where you'll conduct independent, supervised research culminating in an original thesis. The Science Honours year serves as a stepping stone to advanced research degrees like the PhD or MSc, attracting both local and international students annually.

Computer science focuses on understanding computing systems and their software applications. Ideal for technically inclined individuals passionate about advancing technology, this field builds on programming fundamentals while exploring algorithms, data systems, networks, and operating systems. You'll develop essential skills for managing large-scale software projects.

The Computer Science Honours program prepares students for postgraduate research or industry R&D roles by offering specialized training in emerging technologies. Rather than broad IT coverage, it immerses you in selected research frontiers, enabling collaboration with faculty experts on independent projects.
