Chemistry explores the composition and transformation of substances, along with the connection between molecular structure and properties. This field is crucial for extracting metals from ores, transforming petroleum into plastics, and discovering cancer treatments. As a chemistry student, you'll examine its global influence on products like dyes, medications, microchips, medical implants, synthetic fabrics, energy solutions, fiber optics, and vehicle tires. The program also offers an optional 'Year in Industry' placement, allowing you to gain paid professional experience in the chemical sector during your studies.
