Technological progress has dramatically reshaped music's boundaries – altering how we listen, create, and define it.

Our digital music and media curriculum caters specifically to artists seeking to compose and produce using computers and electronic tools. It leverages the Conservatorium's diverse classical music insights and distinctive perspective on today's music business.

For those aiming to push past conventional musical forms, unlock electronic music's boundless possibilities, or craft scores for video games and new media formats, this program offers the perfect foundation.

You'll master music production, digital arrangement, audio processing, synthesis, spatial audio techniques (including surround sound and ambisonics), and recording methods to develop innovative sonic environments. The program also examines music's ever-expanding role in our changing media world through analytical and cultural perspectives.

Throughout your studies, you'll utilize professional-grade software (like Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, ProTools) and cutting-edge music technologies including Max MSP, GRM tools, Izotope, Native Instrument plugins, modular synthesizers, and other advanced equipment.
