The Bachelor of International and Global Studies (Honours) is a rigorous, year-long program focused on advanced study centered around research. Participants attend seminar courses while developing and writing a significant thesis on a topic chosen in partnership with a supervisor who specializes in the field. While pass degrees allow students to explore various disciplines and focus on one or two majors, the honours year provides an opportunity to deeply engage with their major subject and master its methodologies through independent research. The honours program serves both as preparation for postgraduate education and as a culminating experience for an undergraduate degree. For some, honours represents the peak of their academic journey, expanding their intellectual horizons, refining their research, analytical, and communication skills, and equipping them with the personal and professional competencies required to complete a substantial project. For others, it marks the beginning of a career in professional research and academia.
