The combined Bachelor of Engineering Honours and Bachelor of Arts program enables students to pursue engineering alongside humanities, social sciences, or language studies. You can pair any Engineering Honours specialization with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
This dual degree is perfect for those seeking to enhance their technical engineering education with humanities and social science disciplines, fostering the critical analysis, creative problem-solving, and innovative thinking required to address global issues.
The Bachelor of Engineering Honours/Bachelor of Arts is an integrated undergraduate program that combines technical engineering education with humanities, social sciences, or language studies. The program holds accreditation from Engineers Australia and other leading professional engineering organizations.
Students will undertake foundational courses in mathematics and computing, along with interdisciplinary project units. The curriculum includes specialized core and elective courses in your chosen engineering field, with the option to pursue an additional specialization.
In the final year, students complete an honors thesis in their selected engineering discipline. The program incorporates professional development activities through the Professional Engagement Program, including mandatory engineering internships during the concluding year.
Alongside the engineering coursework, students complete core Arts subjects and select a major from the Arts disciplines. The program also includes Open Learning Environment courses and additional electives to fulfill degree requirements.
A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English: A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
