The Business School Honours Program offers an intensive additional year of study for high-achieving Bachelor of Commerce graduates. This selective program challenges participants, fosters innovation, and distinguishes graduates to propel their international business careers. Whether pursuing advanced research or industry leadership, Honours provides a competitive advantage. We cultivate graduates who exhibit exceptional motivation, organizational skills, and proactive thinking. Honours students engage with advanced coursework and complete a research thesis, developing specialized research methodologies and deep disciplinary expertise. Graduates join an elite network of professionals, working closely with faculty experts to explore original research questions and contribute new knowledge to their field. The program's practical orientation drives success, allowing students to delve deeper into unanswered questions from their undergraduate studies. The specialized competencies gained during this year make graduates particularly attractive to employers, launching them toward leadership roles. Our alumni hold prominent positions across academia, government, and corporate sectors.

The Economics Honours specialization creates a nurturing environment for developing essential economist skills prized by top employers: analytical reasoning, quantitative methods, data interpretation, research capabilities, and effective communication. Students complete five semester-long courses in intimate class settings (typically under 25 students). Coursework constitutes 62.5% of the final Honours assessment in Economics, while a supervised 15,000-word thesis contributes the remaining 37.5%. This structure facilitates personalized faculty mentorship and strong peer collaboration throughout the research process.
